Alok raised his first seed fund at 19. This venture arbitraged real estate prices for personal storage in metro cities, leveraging his extensive experience in JavaScript and web apps.
During his university years, Alok worked with the Dubai government and helped run tech for a data company powered by IoT-based healthy food fridges in MNC offices in Dubai, secured by private F&F investments from regional MBB partners. Concurrently, he contributed extensively to open-source projects, including authoring Apache Cordova's Native Storage (an npm package with over 3 million downloads), which became the recommended key-value storage driver used by Ionic, Telerik, and other non-native mobile app building platforms at the time.
In Singapore, Alok worked on Enterprise Blockchains in close collaboration with IBM at its top startup-garage customer. There, he led the team in building and deploying a novel 3D model generation process for training vision-based AI models, with inference running on Edge IoT infrastructure and decisions recorded on private blockchain-based infrastructure for highly sensitive military and enterprise environments.
For the past four years, Alok has leveraged his extensive technical background to co-found Trames, an operationally profitable niche SaaS provider (4M+ Seed as of 2022, 1M+ ARR). Through its MOU with Singapore's IMDA and R3-Corda, Trames was researching decentralized cross-chain verification for collateralizable "Documents of Title" like Bills of Lading. Their flagship platform serves as the execution layer for global supply chain operations, used by Fortune 500 and Euro 50 customers including Telefonica, Danone, Johnson Controls-Hitachi, and Mitsui Chemicals.
Trames' AI powered global solution is accessed from over 35 countries across 6 continents, supporting multiple languages. It is powered by a data lake holding operational data from partners across diverse industries, facilitating transactions worth billions of dollars quarterly - a scale rarely seen in young startups - assisting AI powered decision making for customers that affect goods and services we see around us daily.
